Game Recap

The Cougars relied on a late score and a last-second goal line stand to defeat the BNL Stars 18-14. The Cougars were led by sophomore quarterback, Trey Wilson, who completed 29 of 40 passes for 318 yards and a touchdown. Senior receiver, Holden Jastremski, had 12 receptions for 132 yards on the night. Senior Cameron Morgan (20 rushes, 89 yards) had two rushing touchdowns. Junior tight end, Logan Calvin carried five BNL defenders into the end zone with help from his offensive line as he scored from 23 yards out.

In the final two plays of the game, the Cougar defense made two stops inside the 1-foot line to secure the win. Seniors Henry Street and Abdurahim Shahrani stopped a Stars receiver just short of the goal on the second-to-last play. The defense stiffened as the Stars had time for one last play from the 1-foot line. Seniors T.J. Hayslip and Cameron Morgan made the initial hit on the ball carrier and the rest of the defense rallied to make the stop and preserve the victory.
