Game Recap

The Cougars came out strong against 10th ranked Castle, stealing an early goal in less than 5 minutes of play when Kylee Henderon found Kayley Ryan who dribbled through some traffic and then scored. Castle came back strong scoring 2 goals in the half; the second with less than 5 minutes to play before halftime.

In the second half, Castle adjusted their formation and were able to take a 3-1 lead but the Cougars weren’t going away. After Kayley Ryan was tripped in the box, Ping Showalter finished the PK, scoring her first goal of the season making it 3-2. The excitement was short-lived as Castle scored the back breaker in less than 2 minutes to take the 4-2 victory.

The Cougars played hard and never gave up. They showed they were ready and willing to compete against the best teams in the State.
